The SOLIDET company was founded in 1991 in Prague, Czech Republic, as an art & antique store. Gradually its primary focus on antiques faded and Solidet has established itself as an art gallery, selling and buying fine art, and holding regular exhibitions of new and established artists.
Gallery Solidet, located a few steps from the very central and popular square Namesti Miru, on Francouzská Street in Prague, has been operating on two platforms: Its first it was a cosy area that presented attractive works of Czech and foreign authors in the gallery. Secondly, there was a spacious area designed for exhibitions and presentations. This space was available to rent, serving both new, as well as established artists, well. The usual exhibition time was two to four weeks. Solidet also accepted high-quality works (paintings, graphics, drawings, sculptures) and is able to provide restoration work, restoration research and expert opinions.

TENTO PROSTOR BYL K DISPOZICI K PRONÁJMU NOVÝM I ZAVEDENÝM UMĚLCŮM. OBVYKLÁ DOBA VÝSTAVY BYLA DVA AŽ ČTYŘI TÝDNY. GALERIE TAKÉ VYKUPOVALA ZA HOTOVÉ A PŘIJÍMALA DO KOMISE KVALITNÍ DÍLA (OBRAZY, GRAFICKÉ LISTY, KRESBY, PLASTIKY) A BYLA SCHOPNÁ ZAJISTIT RESTAURÁTORSKÉ PRÁCE, RESTAURÁTORSKÝ PRŮZKUM A ODBORNÉ POSUDKY.
